La Unión de Rugby del Sur entregó el cap 2025 a un dirigente de la región. La distinción recayó en Pablo Clausen, veterano y dirigente de Coronel Suárez RHC. Como viene siendo costumbre desde 2019, la Unión de Rugby del Sur entregó en las últimas horas un nuevo reconocimiento a una personalidad de ese deporte.
El “cap” es un simbolismo característico en esta disciplina -materializado con la entrega de una gorra- que tiene como objetivo distinguir a una personalidad por su trayectoria y aporte a la actividad en diferentes roles. Pero es, al mismo tiempo, un simbolismo para realzar valores de respeto, trabajo y compromiso tanto en la vida deportiva como personal.
El quinto cap recayó en el dirigente Pablo Clausen del club Coronel Suárez RHC, institución en la que también se desempeñó como jugador (también integró seleccionados de la URS) y entrenador de distintas categorías.
El equipo de rugby de Coronel Suárez se creó el 1 de marzo de 1980, por medio de jugadores nacidos en esa vecina ciudad que habían integrado equipos de rugby en clubes de Buenos Aires y regresaron a su tierra natal, en un momento en el que el polo suarense vivía un apogeo.
“Muchísimas gracias a la URS y sus Consejeros por este CAP 2024, un reconocimiento que me cuesta aceptar, pero me enorgullece y me pone muy contento… Hacemos lo que más nos gusta y que te reconozcan es espectacular… A seguir trabajando por el rugby de mi club y la región”, expresó.
Clausen, de 59 años y también frecuente miembro del consejo directivo URS, agradeció la distinción en sus redes sociales. La URS, presidida hoy por Antonio Soriano, entregó caps a otras personalidades como Pedro “Peteto” Petersen (2019), Edgardo “Cacho” Gómez (2020), Oscar “Zurdo” Gutiérrez (2022) y Carlos Burgos (2023). / La Nueva
