Hubo acción argentina en la Americup 3X3 y con presencia suarense. Las Selecciones de nuestro país tuvieron acción en la AmeriCup 2024 de básquet 3×3 que tuvo lugar en San Juan, Puerto Rico. Tanto la Selección Masculina como femenina cayeron en sus partidos de fase de grupos y finalizaron 9° y 10° respectivamente.
Los equipos estuvieron integrados por:
Selección Femenina: Rocío Díaz, Carla Miculka, Camila Peri y Natasha Spiatta.
Selección Masculina: el suarense Juan Fernández Chávez, Iñaki Ibarra, Juan Farré y Ariel Ramos.
Mientras que el cuerpo técnico lo integraron Leandro Tesido, Luciano Santin, Juan Blanc y Carlos Spellanzón.
Por el lado masculino, los argentinos integraron el Grupo C y cayeron por 14 – 21 ante Jamaica y en la fecha 2 cayeron por 11 – 21 ante Canadá. De esta manera quedaron terceros de la zona y no lograron pasar a los playoffs. Por el lado femenino, las chicas formaron parte del Grupo D y cayeron por 9 – 13 ante Cuba y en la segunda 13 – 14 ante Puerto Rico. Finalizaron terceras de la zona.
