Básquetbol: Los equipos de Coronel Suárez no juegan más en la Asociación Tresarroyense. Lo que era una noticia extraoficial ya es un hecho: los clubes de Coronel Suárez, Deportivo Sarmiento y Blanco & Negro, se retiran del basquetbol tresarroyense. Así lo manifestó la presidenta del Club Blanco & Negro, Mariel Delgado a los medios periodísticos suarenses.
Además, expresaron mediante un comunicado que “a raíz de algunas situaciones que se dieron dentro de la Asociacion de Basquetbol de Tres Arroyos, los llevó a decidir reflotar y conformar nuevamente la Asociacion Suarense …
… de Basquetbol que la integrarían los clubes de nuestro medio, Independiente de Pigüé, equipos de Coronel Pringles, Tornquist, Carhué, Coronel Dorrego y la posible incorporación de algunos equipos más”.
Fueron años donde, tanto Sarmiento como Blanco & Negro, fueron campeones en primera división y en categorias formativas de la Asoc. Tresarroyense (ATB). La competencia era buena, pero también es cierto que hoy por hoy debe primar fundamentalmente la parte económica, tanto para los equipos de esta ciudad como a los de Tres Arroyos, por los constantes viajes con una distancia de 200 km. que separan una ciudad de otra.
