Comienza la veda de pesca del pejerrey: va desde el 1 de septiembre hasta el 30 de noviembre. Se permitirá únicamente la práctica de la pesca deportiva y recreativa los sábados, domingos y feriados, respetando el número máximo de piezas y tamaño mínimo. Llega septiembre y comienza la veda de pesca del pejerrey en la provincia de Buenos Aires.
Como cada año, la medida rige para todos los ambientes de aguas interiores desde el 1 de septiembre hasta el 30 de noviembre inclusive. El establecimiento de un período de veda se encuadra en lo previsto por el Capítulo 4, Artículo 12, de la Ley Provincial de Pesca N° 11.477.
De acuerdo con la legislación vigente, durante el período de veda se permitirá únicamente la práctica de la pesca deportiva y recreativa de pejerrey los días sábados, domingos y feriados, respetando el número máximo de piezas a extraer por pescador y por día y el tamaño mínimo de captura estipulados. Para la laguna Chasicó (partidos de Villarino y Puán) se incluye, además de los días enunciados, a los viernes.
Además, se prohíbe durante el período de veda la realización de toda competencia deportiva relacionada con el pejerrey y las actividades de pesca comercial en ambientes de aguas interiores provinciales. En los considerandos de la disposición de agosto de 2008 se consigna que estudios técnicos realizados permiten determinar que, de acuerdo con la característica del desarrollo gonadal del pejerrey, en aguas interiores de la provincia de Buenos Aires, la época reproductiva registra su mayor actividad durante los meses de septiembre, octubre y noviembre de cada año.
“Que en concordancia con ello, y a los efectos de tender al logro de la conservación y sustentabilidad de las poblaciones de pejerrey en los ambientes acuáticos interiores provinciales, resulta necesario establecer las medidas pertinentes con el objeto de proteger la actividad reproductiva de la especie durante los meses citados”.
A su vez, sigue el texto, “dichas medidas deben contemplar la suspensión de la realización de eventos de pesca deportiva y recreativa que tienen por objeto al pejerrey, como así también de las actividades de pesca comercial en los cuerpos de agua de la provincia de Buenos Aires. (DIB)
