El nacimiento de la BASO surgió de la unión de Suárez, Pigüé, Pringles, Dorrego, Tornquist y Carhué. Básquetbol Asociación del Sudoeste nuclea a varios equipos de la región. Con la creación de BASO (Básquetbol Asociación del Sudoeste), el mapa de la Provincia sumó otra sede –con base en Coronel Suárez-, que nuclea a varios equipos de la región.
De esta manera, son 13 las Asociaciones activas en el ámbito de la Provincia. “La Asociación se formó a partir de un desprendimiento de los dos clubes de Coronel Suárez (Deportivo Sarmiento y Blanco y Negro), que se fueron de la Liga de Tres Arroyos, y se unieron con una Liga Amateur que había en la ciudad”, explicó Marcelo Pallotti, presidente de la Federación Bonaerense.
Para conseguir la aprobación se requiere un mínimo de ocho clubes, y a la iniciativa de los dos clubes suarenses se sumaron Leandro N. Alem, Almaceneros, Club de Pelota e Independiente (todos de Coronel Pringles), Escuela Municipal (Carhué), Independiente (Coronel Dorrego), Independiente (Pigüé) y Tornquist Básquet. “Desde Federación le homologamos los torneos y le cargamos los clubes al GES para que estén todos los jugadores validados, así quedan dentro del sistema de registración”, señaló Pallotti.

La intención de la Federación es regionalizar la Provincia. “Seguramente ellos van a jugar con sus selecciones, con las demás Asociaciones, compitiendo con la de Bahía y Tres Arroyos”, comentó el titular de la Bonaerense. Las flamantes autoridades se reunirán el próximo viernes, con la intención de definir el reglamento interno y analizar las categorías que tendrá en condiciones de inscribir cada afiliado.
